Information Technology Department
The Information Technology Department is reponsible for:
- Developing and implementing ministerial computer and information systems plans and policies.
- Developing information systems and databases required to perform the Ministry’s activities.
- Supplying and maintaining administrative departments with electronic equipment, software and networks.
- Developing and maintaining all types of ministerial databases.
- Providing training and required technical support for the Ministry’s electronic network users.
- Developing and maintaining the Ministry website.

- Developing and implementing IT related projects and solutions.
- Evaluating and improving applicable IT systems.
- Developing and sustaining ministerial databases.
- Verifying the authenticity of all software and information systems used by the Ministry.
- Providing statistical data on the section.

- Developing training programmes for Ministry employees across the departments.

- Supervising electronic equipment connections.
- Implementing security systems protecting the Ministry’s networks against security threats.
- Providing technical support and maintenance of IT equipment.

- Maintaining backup storage systems.
- Improving and enhancing operating systems.
- Developing and implementing technical equipment safety and maintenance policies.
